Three Leather Jacket Outfits I Can’t Wait To Wear

Hi, people!

I love fall. I realize I’m about to inadvertently ally myself with scores of other teenage girls online who are all collectively shouting ”I LOVE FALL!!!”, so let me set myself apart with a few disclaimers. Sweaters are not my thing, I don’t like pumpkin spice (sorry), cute boots are virtually impossible to find in wide width, and aesthetics puzzle me (someone explain to me how they work? and what their purpose is?)

What do I love about fall? Cooler weather. Cooler weather means layers. Layers means leather jackets (yes, I know you saw that coming a mile away).

So while I’m waiting for it not to be 85 degrees every day, I thought I’d share the leather jacket outfits that I already have planned for when the weather gets its act together (COUGH COUGH get your act together east coast weather).

Also, for those wondering, the jacket in these flatlays is East 5th brand, purchased on ThredUp. I don’t think it’s sold anymore, but it’s a very common style, so I’m sure you could find one like it.

1. Skater dress and low-tops.

While it’s still hot, you can be assured that I’ll be wearing a leather jacket in the morning and the regretting it by 1pm. Which is why in early fall and late spring I wear it over a sleeveless dress so I can take the jacket off in case of heatstroke (kidding, kidding. I have not given myself heatstroke by wearing a leather jacket. Yet.)

Dress: Merona
Sneakers: Converse knockoffs from Amazon

2. Midi skirt and blue tee

Since things started opening up again, I’ve been enjoying having a reason to dress up. This outfit is a little warmer, but my church is always super air-conditioned, so I’ve been wearing it to Mass successfully without melting. It’s also pretty cute without the leather jacket.

Top: Banana Republic
Skirt: Target

3. Red jeans and button-down

Probably the look I’m most excited about, I’ve been waiting for the day it’s cool enough to wear this. Unfortunately that day hasn’t come just yet, but I’m ready for it. I usually wear the top tucked in, but it also looks great untucked or if you have an oversized top, you can tie it (fair warning, you will have to iron it afterwards).

Top: Old Navy
Jeans: Target
Shoes: Walmart

Favorite outfit and/or part of fall? Think I can be a fashion blogger now (haha)?

  1. Those are so cute! I especially love that last one.
I also love fall, but not because of pumpkin spice or whatever. I like sweaters if it ever actually got cool enough to wear them where I live. (remembers when I ran out of clothes to wear on vacation and wore a sweater in Orlando in September)
Aesthetics are just made to look well, aesthetic. They have no real purpose except that they are fun to make and they look nice. Hehe, you probably already knew that and were asking a rhetorical question, but whatever.

    1. Thank you so much, Diamond! It doesn’t usually get really cold until January and February here, so sweaters are useful for about two months, lol. (Once I ran out of clothes on vacation and ended up buying a tourist destination shirt that was two sizes too big. It was a look, for sure)
Haha, it was sort of rhetorical and sort of not, but now I know xD.
You leave the nicest comments, they always make my day πŸ˜‰

  2. These outfits are so cute. We have very similar styles. I do like sweaters and boots, provided the weather is cool enough, of course. And I LOVE leather jackets. I have one, and I wear it all the time (even during the summee. Yes, I instantly regret it then). Where I live it actually snowed a week ago, and I keep thinking it’s December, lol.
Great post. I loved reading it.

      1. You’re welcome! and YAAAAAS well no, I’d have to wear a huge puffy coat then. I’m not a fan of being a walking marshmallow. πŸ˜‚ (literally – my winter coat at the moment is white) I need somewhere with eternal jacket weather… maybe Ireland??
